Passion never die. It grows

James A (DJ Jimmy) was born in Haiti and migrated to the United States at the young age of 3 years old. His love for music started at the young age of 8 years old, where his mother was a manager of L’Manor ( Cafe Omar, Brooklyn, NY) at this location he was able to witness live music that played different Kompa bands and artists. During his high school years, he became more exposed to music through basement parties, house parties, and BCAT flexing in Brooklyn. Through all of this exposure, he began working on his own personal crates of music.

At the young age of 19, he would create his own mixes on his phone. He then began to work on building his own desktop which he used to start his own crates full of music. Parties were no longer a leisure activity but rather he used it to expose himself to different genres of music. After being encouraged by friends and family, James A became known as DJ Jimmy. DJ Jimmy began to do small paying gigs for as low as $50-$100. One day when working as a DJ at an event in a backyard, DJ Jimmy was introduced by Ty Yves who previously heard him play at another event to Vlad Dada and Dnice of Entourage, a group of promoters. DJ Jimmy became a DJ for Entourage and in the year 2013 with mentoring and team support, he took his craft more seriously than ever. DJ Jimmy started to play at many different venues, such as Amazura, weddings, boat parties, and sweet 16. As the request for DJ Jimmy grew, he then created Entourage Sounds, a sound company that caters to all private events. DJ Jimmy has made an impression everywhere he goes and is looking forward to making a lasting impression on the world.
